Diablo IV has officially launched the Season 10 update, called Season of Infernal Chaos. This marks the end of Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim. In particular, this new season adds fresh content, revamped gameplay mechanics, and many more. Along with the seasonal launch, the developers also dropped a major patch. It improves the game based on the feedback from PTR.
Season of Infernal Chaos: A Promising New Chapter
According to GameRant, the last season ended with Hordaic Spells, Nightmare Dungeon Escalations, and hidden Horadric Strongrooms. All of these made the game harder. As a result, it pushed players to their limits.
This time around, Season 10 of Diablo IV is adding new mechanics and rewards. At the same time, it continues to build on the foundation laid out in Season 9. These changes aim to keep the action fast and surprising. The new season also raises the stakes by linking stories. Players will face more challenges as the barrier between Sanctuary and the Burning Hells weakens. With this, they need to face the demonic forces led by Mephisto.
Chaos Perks and Chaos Rifts
Polygon reported that one of the most notable additions is the Chaos Perks system. It allows players to change and improve their existing class skills in unique ways.
Another addition is Chaos Rifts. Players need to explore this to acquire Chaos Perks. The rifts appear during Nightmare dungeon runs and fights in Helltide events.
Chaos Armors and Infernal Hordes
Season 10 also adds Chaos Armors, Polygon said. These are unique armors with special abilities compared to regular ones. In the same way, Chaos Armors allows more customization. It has slots that pave the way for different builds and strategies.
Part of the new season is the reworked Infernal Hordes. This main endgame activity now has revamped enemies and bosses. In the end, players will also have to face Bartuc, the Vizjerei Warlord.
Updates from PTR
Since the Public Test Realm in August, Blizzard Entertainment has been checking feedback from its gaming community. The launch of Season of Infernal Chaos also adds a major patch. This patch brings changes ranging from a reduced Chaos Wave projectile damage to a visually distinct Chaos Armor. The developers also included balance changes, several bug fixes, and gameplay enhancements that improve the overall experience.
