Fallout 76 has officially launched a major patch called “C.A.M.P. Revamp.” Update 2.10 simplifies the building process, introduces quality-of-life improvements, and adds new features. This patch also marks the start of Season 22: Appalachian Modern Living, bidding farewell to Season 21: Gone Fission. Â
Major Changes for Builders
According to a report from Bleeding Cool, one of the highlights of the update is the relaxed build rules. In particular, players will start getting more freedom when designing their bases. They can now build walls under floors. At the same time, floors can float in the air, and foundations are no longer needed for most items. With these changes, players can make sky-high condos or floating homes. Plus, it answers long-requested features by fans.
Also, MP1ST says Fallout 76 now has three placement modes, including Collision mode, Free Mode, and Snap Mode. More clearly, Collision Mode lets players place items without snapping while stopping objects from overlapping. In Free Mode, restrictions are removed. Users can put items anywhere without snapping or collisions. For those who like to do things the way they are used to, Snap Mode still works by attaching items neatly.
Workshop 2.0: Optimized User Interface
Part of the C.A.M.P. Revamp patch is an upgraded user interface (UI). The Mirror explains that it is a redesigned UI that aims to streamline the building process.
The new Workshop menu organizes items into clear categories and subcategories. Some of these include Decorations, Defense, Furniture, Lights, Power, and more. Similarly, players can filter the Workshop by recently used items or what they own. As a result, finding specific items is now easier. It also allows players to build bases faster and more efficiently.
Item Locking to Protect Gear
As per MP1ST, the latest update adds an Item Locking feature in Fallout 76. With this, players can lock armor, power armor, weapons, and consumables. It helps them avoid accidentally dropping, scrapping, selling, and trading items. The feature applies to stash boxes, vending machines, work benches, ammo boxes, player-to-player trading, and many more. It also make sures that items stay safe, putting players at ease when managing gear.
A Bright Future for Fallout 76
With the new patch, Fallout 76 continues to be a thriving multiplayer RPG in the gaming space. Likewise, it keeps improving and growing. The added creative tools, better UI, and gameplay changes show Bethesda Game Studios’ commitment to its loyal fans.
