JENNIE announces digital solo EP ‘Fallen Angel’

BLACKPINK’s JENNIE has confirmed that she will release a digital solo EP titled Fallen Angel, with the three-track project arriving on August 28.

The announcement came from Odd Atelier, JENNIE’s own company and label, which described the release as “a gift from JENNIE, with love.” The label said the EP comes from a deeply personal place rooted in honest self-expression.

The EP follows a busy period for both JENNIE and BLACKPINK. The group released its comeback EP, Deadline, in February, giving BLINKs new music earlier this year.

JENNIE has also continued expanding her solo career. Her debut full-length album, Ruby, arrived in 2025 with 15 tracks and collaborations with Dua Lipa, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis and FKJ. The album included singles such as “Like Jennie,” “Handlebars” and “Love Hangover.”

The music video teaser

Alongside the EP announcement, JENNIE revealed that the music video for “FALLEN ANGEL” will premiere on August 28, the same day as the digital release. She also shared a teaser offering a surreal preview of the visual.

The teaser opens with a young girl in a red dress sitting inside a pink, cartoonish house with a goose beside her. As she looks out the window, the camera pulls back to reveal warped houses with eyeballs watching her as fog rolls in and illustrated waves move across the scene.

The visual then shifts to three couples, each framed by a tall white candle. One pair sits in a car and removes their sunglasses while looking at each other, while another shows a young man resting his head on a woman’s shoulder. The third, with a darker tone, features two people wearing grills reading “Still” and “Love” as they stand behind a barred gate.

JENNIE later appears with her eyes closed and arms spread wide as rain falls around her. The teaser ends with two contrasting images of the singer: one in an opulent 1920s-inspired look and another in a contemporary style as she stares directly into the camera.

Fallen Angel is set for digital release on August 28, alongside the title track’s music video. The project has been framed as JENNIE’s farewell to summer, while additional promotional details and performances have not been confirmed at the time of the announcement.
