Marvel and Sony officially announced the two upcoming Spider-Man films and have already set release dates. The confirmation, which delighted millions of fans of the friendly neighborhood superhero, happened at the CinemaCon 2025. As per the announcement, the titles to watch out for are Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
During the CinemaCon, Tom Holland appeared via video to share his excitement and disclose a few details about the film. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be the highly anticipated fourth installment of his Marvel superhero stint. In line with this, Holland shared that it will be a new beginning for Peter Parker after the tragic events in No Way Home, Sophie Caraan of Hypebeast reports.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton will be directing the next cinematic adventure of the amazing web-slinger.
“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world,” said Cretton as reported by William Shammah via Marvel.
Also, Cretton teased fans that the team is already brainstorming about the suit and how Spider-Man swings. Further, he emphasized that they want to create an emotional story that will provide a unique experience for the viewers.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
The much-awaited conclusion to the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse trilogy of Sony is finally coming to the big screen. Prior to the latest announcement, the film encountered significant delays due to animation challenges and high standards set by its predecessors.
In connection, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who are the producers and writers, mentioned that they want to ensure the film will meet expectations. Also, they revealed a first glimpse at the upcoming movie during the event, says Adelle Ki of Hypebeast.
Moreover, director Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson will team up to create Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will premiere on July 31, 2026, and June 4, 2027, respectively.
