Monster Hunter Wilds has officially launched its third title update yesterday, September 29. This content patch is available to all players for free. In particular, it adds a crossover event and new monsters. At the same time, the update brings seasonal festivities. The latest patch also has gameplay improvements, balance adjustments, and bug fixes.
Final Fantasy XIV Collaboration
One of the highlights of the Title Update 3 is the major collaboration. Particularly, it is a partnership between Final Fantasy XIV Online and Monster Hunter Wilds. This special event is the second time the popular titles have teamed up.
According to Capcom and Game Rant, players at Hunter Rank 41 or higher can get a new questline in the Iceshard Cliffs. It leads to a high-stakes fight against Omega Planetes. This is a new addition to the game. On the good side, players will have items to help them in the fight. Specifically, they can use the Dark Knight hunter armor and Pictomancy spells.
New Monsters and Expanded Endgame
Aside from the crossover, the patch notes showed that the title update 3 adds many powerful monsters, such as the following:
- Arch-tempered Nu Udra (via the October 22 event quest and October 29 free challenge quest)
- Nerscylla Clone (reach HR 41 to unlock)
- Regular and tempered Lagiacrus (via the Wounded Hollow at HR 100 or higher)
- Additional 9★ tempered monsters
In the same way, the Lagiacrus fight got many bug fixes. The adjustments made its look and behavior more consistent. Also, it is now more challenging!
Festival of Accord: Dreamspell
Part of the new Monster Hunter Wilds patch is the Festival of Accord: Dreamspell, Capcom said. It is a seasonal fall event. Specifically, this will be available from October 22 to November 12. Players can also expect Halloween decorations in the game. They will see this theme across the Grand Hub and menus. Similarly, there are modified festive songs from the Diva and mini games. Â
Adjustments, Changes, Fixes, and Improvements
Among many things, the latest update adds several features. Some of these are the following:
- New pop-up camp gear, gestures, pendants, stickers, and Seikret decorations
- Additional Support Hunder — Kai
- Toggles for Palico support moves
- Enhanced UI elements and animations
- Major bug fixes

The Monster Hunter Wilds title update 3 is roughly 4GB on Xbox and Steam. In contrast, it is around 5GB on PS5 and 8GB on PC with the High-Resolution Texture Pack.
