Battlefield 6 has officially revealed its Season 1 roadmap. The Season is divided into three phases. It will also be the first major update after it drops on October 10. Season 1 is a free post-launch patch that adds fresh content. Specifically, players can expect new weapons, modes, vehicles, and other features. All of these aim to expand both multiplayer and community experiences.
Phase 1: Rogue Ops
As announced by Electronic Arts (EA), Rogue Ops will be the first phase of Season 1. It challenges players to take on the Blackwell Fields map with a new tactical experience. This map also supports all combat sizes. One of the highlights is the APC Traverser Mark 2. It is an Armored Personnel Carrier that can seat four players.
At the same time, Rogue Ops adds a new mode called Strikepoint. The developers designed it for tight 4v4 combat. Likewise, this mode only gives players one life per round. With this twist, the game becomes more strategic and challenging.
Season 1’s first phase also debuts three new weapons. Specifically, these are the SOR-300C Carbine Rifle, Mini Fix Sniper Rifle, and GGH-22 Sidearm. Each firearm has its unique use designed for different situations. Aside from these weapons, the update will include new attachments. These are the Rail Cover and Low-Powered Variable Optic. They give players more customization options.
Phase 2: California Resistance
The second phase focuses on the California Resistance, EA said. It takes squads in a battle on the Eastwood map. This suburban setting also supports every combat size.
On top of that, phase two introduces the Sabotage mode. It features an 8v8 gameplay. This mode also lets teams take turns in offense and defense.
California Resistance even adds two more weapons. Players can use the DB-12 Shotgun and the M327 Trait Sidearm. There is even a Slim Handstop attachment to improve weapon handling.
Phase 3: Winter Offensive
According to EA, the final phase will be the Winter Offensive. It is a snowy twist on the Empire State map. The phase includes an Ice Lock event that introduces the Freeze mechanic.
Winder Offensive also has a new melee weapon. An Ice Climbing Axe will be part of the arsenal. It offers combat and utility uses.
