Microsoft is expanding its Artificial Intelligence (AI) features, or what it calls Copilot+ PC experiences. These upgrades are part of the continuous evolution of the Copilot+ PC portfolio.
After a year since the introduction of the top-tier Windows PCs, the tech giant is now making its AI features widely accessible. The updates will be available on devices powered by AMD and Intel chips. More specifically, the laptops must be equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 300 series, Intel Core Ultra 200V, and Snapdragon X Series processors.
According to Microsoft, it is combining advanced hardware with intelligent software to push customers to do and achieve more. After all, the Windows maker claims that Copilot+ PCs are the future.
Based on an official article by the company, notable new features elevate experiences when using Copilot+ PCs.
Accessibility Features
Microsoft is revolutionizing how individuals interact with their devices, specifically to assist those challenged with functional impairments.
One of the updates is Live Captions, which is now available on Copilot+ PCs with AMD and Intel chips. The feature delivers real-time translations in English for audio and video media. Users can access this tool during video playback, virtual meetings, or podcasts.
In addition, Microsoft is introducing the first Voice Access to include NPU capabilities on Copilot+ PCs. With the update, customers can communicate with their laptops using more flexible and descriptive language when accessing the feature on Snapdragon X Series devices.
AI-Enabled Features
Individuals can now make image enhancement and artistic creation more intuitive and smoother using Cocreator in Paint. The Cocreator feature allows users to merge freehand drawing with text-based prompts to produce comprehensive artworks, designs, and visuals.
Moreover, Microsoft is launching Restyle Image and Image Creator in Photos. These upgrades help users to unleash their creativity. More concretely, these allow them to turn images into artistic interpretations and transform detailed written prompts into different visuals.
The availability of the expanded Microsoft Copilot+ PC experiences varies by device and region. Nevertheless, some features are already accessible via the March 2025 Windows non-security preview update.Â
