Oscars 2025 Crowns the Year’s Top Talent and Achievements

The Oscars concluded the 97th Academy Awards last Sunday, marking a night of unforgettable memories, victories, and contributions to cinema.

From heart-stopping performances to record-breaking achievements, the 25th Oscars honored the most talented stars and groundbreaking films in the industry.

Director Sean Baker’s Anora bagged the night’s most prestigious award, the Best Picture. The film is tagged as a Cinderella story without a fairytale conclusion.

The win came over nine nominated films, including The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys, The Substance, and Wicked. Nevertheless, almost every film nominated in the category grabbed at least one award during the ceremony.

Moreover, Adrian Brody prevailed over his fellow nominees for the Best Actor award. This marks his second Best Actor victory after 22 years.

On the other hand, Mike Madison won Best Actress for her lead role in Anora. The award solidifies the film’s reputation following its recognition at the Cannes Film Festival.
