Pokémon GO has officially confirmed the 2026 edition of the popular Pokémon GO Tour. More importantly, developer Niantic has also revealed the official cities and dates of the highly anticipated annual event. It gives players of the augmented reality game more time to prepare. At the same time, fans can look forward to a fun celebration next year.
Cities and Dates Announced
According to the report from Niantic, there will be two real-world Pokémon GO Tour events. In particular, these are in-person gatherings in Los Angeles, California, and Tainan, Taiwan. The former has already hosted previous Pokémon GO events, while the latter is joining for the first time.
The upcoming tour will take place from February 20 to 22, 2026. Attendees will enjoy exclusive activities. Specifically, trainers and players can expect to catch rare Pokémon. Likewise, there are community celebrations with other fans waiting for them.
For players who cannot attend on the said dates, there is no need to worry. Niantic has also said that a two-day global celebration will follow the in-person events. It lets more fans around the world join in. The worldwide finale of Pokémon GO Tour happens from February 28 to March 1.
More or less, the tour would have participants compete in special research tasks. Likewise, they can take part in limited-time raids. Players might also have the chance to earn unique rewards and compete for community milestones.
