Skrillex once again surprised-released a new album entitled, F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3. This is the artist’s third unexpected drop via the OWSLA mailing list since 2023.
After performing at the Miami ULTRA Music Festival on Saturday, his first performance since around 2015, he sent out the entire album via Dropbox. Everyone who was subscribed to his email received the file 14 hours earlier than the official release. Consequently, it immediately turned into a listening party, Steven J. Horowitz of Variety reports.
At the same time, the DJ and record producer also announced the news on his official Instagram account.
“Thank you to all my friends who took part in creating this moment🌹🌹🌹,” says Skrillex in the post.
In line with this, the album features guest appearances from various artists, including Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, Starrah, Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Wuki, Varg2TM, Boys Noize, and more.
Furthermore, the project contains 34 tracks and will conclude his 15-year run under the label OWSLA/Atlantic Records.
