Kali Uchis is officially setting her fifth album in motion by releasing one of her latest upcoming singles, Sunshine & Rain. The dreamy lead track sets up a promising introduction to her much-awaited Long Play (LP).
In addition, the serene single from the American singer and songwriter is stimulating, soulful, and reflective. The song seems like a promise she is making to another person about staying faithful.
Uchis croons in the chorus:
“Through sunshine and rain, as seasons change, we all need somebody that makes the Earth feel heavenly. Maybe I’ll be that somebody, ’cause you’re that someone to me.”
Moreover, the latest single is part of her approaching studio album, Sincerely. The R&B artist announced her new project earlier this month on her Instagram account. It will be her debut record on her new label, Capitol Records.
There are not many details available about Uchis’ fifth album, but Apple Music shared that there will be 14 tracks.
While Sincerely is yet to drop until May 9, Sunshine & Rain is now available on every streaming platform.
