Lacoste graced the final Sunday opening of Paris Fashion Week 2025, presenting a combination of sports and style. The blending of the two elements was on full display as part of the official autumn-winter 2025/26 season’s ready-to-wear schedule.
Greek-American designer Pelagia Kolotouros headed the exquisite collection. At the same time, the runway was held at the courts of the renowned Roland Garros Stadium.
Kolotouros opened the show with an ultra-modern take while reflecting a natural harmony. She proved that her fashion attitude changes the game on and off the court.
According to Andrea Sacal of Hypebeast, the creative director’s vision included puffed athletic uniforms, knitted polo shirts, and oversized tailoring. At the same time, the outfit lineup featured jumpsuits, coats, loose-fitting trousers, wide-collared blazers, skirts, waterproof jackets, double-layered gloves, and khaki tracksuits, reads a Footboom article.
Lacoste’s collection emanates a positive atmosphere by using brown, black, white, fuchsia, and green in various shades. Consequently, the sparkling cardigan came with a myriad of dark green looks.
Based on reports, the collection was inspired by the founder of the sports luxury brand — René Lacoste. Also, Kolotouros paid tribute to the nickname ‘The Crocodile’ that René earned on the courts. The designer incorporated his name in uppercase (RENÉ) on several pieces, together with the founding year of the brand (1927).
Celebrating the Timeless Legacy of Lacoste
The company’s runway in the Paris Fashion Week honors the long-standing on-court legacy of Lacoste. A-listers like Adrien Brody, Sampha, and Venus Williams attended the event at the Philippe Chatrier court. Marking a unique experience, attendees were able to witness the show right from the court, instead of the stands.
Meanwhile, an embroidered napkin inside a green-trimmed leather box was given to guests as part of the welcoming gimmick. Further, soft blankets covered the seats, adding a new layer to the mood of the event.
The fall-winter collection takes luxury sportswear to greater heights, cementing the name of Lacoste in fashion history.Â
